The Wheel of Time I like the late Robert Jordan's the Wheel of Time series. It's epic fantasy spanning 11 books and a prequel. The final book will be out sometime in 2009 we're told.

My favorite characters are Rand and Min. I enjoy a good chat about the series every now and again. (I don't RP though.)

WOTMANIA and TARVALON.NET are two good fan sites devoted to everything Wheel of Time.
